This contemporary townhouse is set within a gated community in the popular seaside town of Falmouth. The property was originally built in 2014 by a developer, and purchased by our clients in 2018. Although a recently built home all the flooring, kitchen and finishes throughout the house were fairly nondescript and didn’t suit the Clients and the geographical area in which this home is located.
The kitchen was especially heavy, angular and somewhat aggressive for the open plan living space downstairs, our Clients main aim was to refresh this downstairs space, and create a more open vibe, which reflected their personalities.
The entire downstairs flooring was replaced with plank tiling, to make full use of the under floor heating, and create more of a subtle coastal feel. The heavy boxed-in grey kitchen was removed, and a more contemporary navy shaker kitchen was installed by our team. We implemented open shelving, with lighting built in, to open up the kitchen space and portray a less top-heavy look, as it was before. We also designed a more decorative mantel for the extractor, to create a feature at the centre of the kitchen. Our skilled team of Trades carried out all works on the downstairs redesign and kitchen install.
The project was a quick turnaround of 3 months, to ensure our Clients could meet their target date for moving down to Cornwall. The project is still ongoing, with furnishings and dressing still to be completed, with our Clients’ input.
