This Country retreat is a 19th Century cottage hideaway, surrounded by breathtaking Cornish countryside, and stunning period features throughout. This project is on-going, being completed in phases over a two year period.
We have project managed all of the renovations, using our trusted team of Trades, making both structural and decorative impact. The property was originally very dark and damp throughout, with a lack of character and texture for such a large home. Our brief was to ensure the interiors were sympathetic to the age of the property, but to give it a contemporary twist with colour and furnishings, but to push the boundaries for a ‘Cornish Cottage’.
The lighting and wiring has been totally redone, with many rooms originally only having lamps and no overhead lighting, this has been an extensive aspect of re-designing the Interiors. There is now ample lighting both in and out, making the home more practical and warm.
Both bathrooms were stripped back to the bone, with all plumbing moved to accommodate the new bathroom designs. The result is two stunning and unique bathroom interiors, with texture and colour, married with more traditional fixtures.
The project is still ongoing, with around 30% of the property left to complete, which we will update once completed.
